DSTV Uganda has finally succumbed to pressure as we reported earlier and slashed its prices. The move comes after we reported a new entrant in the payTV space, called Econet global Media headlined by Millionaire Investor Strive Masiyiwa. Econet Global Media will be launching its KweseTV brand in Uganda. Something that might have prompted the Multichoice owned brand to slash prices.
The announcement followed a tweet storm this morning under the hastag #BusinessUnusual that saw the giant TV player introduce new bouquet pricing.
Premium has been reduced to 287,250 from 334,000. Compact Plus-190,700 from 225,000. Compact 121,600 from 128,000 and Family 66,750 from 73k
